Our Budget Honed Filled Travertine is a spectacular selection for almost any space or project. Travertine is a type of limestone generally in the white, beige, and bone color families. It is important to a particular type of natural stone to typically will have some voids that must be filled and then finished. Hence the use of the terms “honed” and “filled.”

Our honed and filled travertine tiles are made from the best blocks. Density and amount of the holes determine good quality travertine. Furthermore, honing and filling travertine is laborious process that has to be done by skilled artisans. Different blocks have different density and it takes various degrees of honing pressure and filling. Natural holes in travertine are filled with white cement which is colored by various dies to match its background color. Our travertine tiles are also double honed prior to filling to achieve a smooth surface. Finally, we use the best Bayer color additives to get the most consistent color.
