Bianco Dolomiti at 18x18
Polished marble tiles eighteen inches square, half an inch thick, in Bianco Dolomiti with Snow White. A box holds four tiles for nine square feet. Variation is logged as uniform, which for a natural stone is rare. Samples are available.

White that behaves
Bianco Dolomiti is a quiet white marble, less dramatic than Carrara and far less so than Calacatta, and this batch is recorded as uniform from piece to piece. That makes a large square format practical: an 18 inch tile with heavy veining becomes a series of competing pictures, while a consistent stone reads as one surface. Polishing deepens what grey there is and reflects the room. Four other formats share the colour, among them a penny round, an artesan cut and a staggered joint mosaic, all honed, for a wall or a floor inset that needs a texture change.

Where to use it
Floors, walls, shower walls
Indoor floors and walls are recorded on both the residential and commercial side, along with shower walls and light traffic underfoot at home. The rooms noted are bathroom, kitchen and living room. Eight boxes take a room to 60 square feet. A polished face shows wear along the traffic line before it shows anywhere else, so a runner or a mat at a doorway earns its keep.

Care
Seal it once laid, then every one to two years. A pH neutral stone cleaner only. Lemon, vinegar and wine etch marble, so they want wiping up rather than leaving to sit.
