A polished shelf in white marble
Snow White corner shelves are cut from polished marble at 4x36 and 3/4 inch thick. Pieces are recorded as uniform in tone, so one shelf looks much like the next rather than arriving with its own character.
Design
Stone with a mirror face
Polishing takes marble to a reflective surface that deepens whatever colour and veining the stone holds. On a white this reads as brightness rather than pattern. The section is substantial at 3/4 inch. In the same white there are 4x12 tiles and several mosaic sheets, including a 1x1, a staggered joint, a tumbled penny round and a multi finish blend, so a shelf can be matched to a surrounding surface.
Uniform tone
Pieces are logged as looking alike, which suits a repeated element.

Tiles and mosaic sheets exist in the same white stone.
Where to use it
Handling and fixing
Pieces are sold individually. Marble at 3/4 inch and three feet long carries real weight, so fixings need to suit the substrate behind, and the piece wants full support along its length rather than at the ends alone. Cuts are best made with a wet saw.
Support the length
Continuous bedding beats point fixing on a stone this long.

A 3/4 inch marble section calls for a wet saw rather than a hand tool.

Care
Sealing applies after installation and again every one to two years. Acidic products etch polished marble quickly, so clean with a pH neutral stone cleaner and avoid bleach, ammonia and abrasive pads.
