Gray Marble

Gray marble tiles are a new trend.  Historically, this color was not very popular.  Many white marble quarries have gray veins.  Recent trends in urban living increased the demand for this color natural stone.

Bardiglio marble, Tundra gray are some of the more popular colors, and most of these materials come from Italy or Turkey. In addition,  the Antolini company opened new quarries in the Mediterranean region.

Honed finish the most suitable choice for this stone.   New textured finishes go well with this category of natural stone. Pool companies use tumbled stone in many swimming pools and exterior applications.  For example, Hilton Las Vegas hotel has a huge pool deck with this color stone.

Jerusalem gray is limestone, although many people refer to it as marble. Most are sedimentary limestones, and often they are used interchangeably.  New quarries in Egypt and Tunis increased the available variety of stones in the market.
