Glazed Terracotta · Moldings
A one inch bar liner
This is a glazed terracotta molding in Rustic White, a bar liner measuring 1x8. Moldings are ordered by the piece, and this one runs 1 1/4 inch thick, which is heavier in section than most wall trim.
Design
The profile is the product
A bar liner is a narrow raised strip used to break a field or cap a run. Colour is uniform between pieces, so a line of them reads as one continuous element rather than a series of parts. Edges arrive rounded. The same white is made at 2x8 if a wider band suits the wall better.
Uniform colour
Pieces are recorded as looking alike, which matters on a continuous line.
Two widths
1x8 here and 2x8 in the same glaze.
Where to use it
Commercial interior walls
The rating on file is commercial interior walls, with living room noted. Trim is counted in linear runs rather than in area, so measure the length of the line and divide by the eight inch piece. A terracotta body is softer than porcelain, so cuts want care.
Count the run
Length divided by eight inches gives the piece count.
Cut gently
Terracotta bodies chip more easily than porcelain under a fast blade.

Why we chose it
- Defines a lineA raised bar gives a field an edge without changing colour.
- Matching widthThe 2x8 rail shares this glaze for a heavier band.
Care
The glaze wipes clean with a household tile cleaner. Take care around the raised edge, where a hard pad can scuff the glaze over time.
