A brown threshold with a bevel
Emperador Light thresholds come at 4x36 in a polished brown marble, 3/4 inch thick, with a bevelled edge. Variation between pieces is recorded as moderate, so two thresholds in the same house will not be identical.
Design
Bevel and depth
A bevelled edge takes the sharpness off the top arris and lets one floor level meet another without a hard line. Polishing deepens the brown and brings out veining, which on this stone runs to a moderate spread. The 3/4 inch section gives enough depth to bridge a small difference in floor build up.

Doorways in the house
The rating covers residential interior floors, and kitchen, living room and bathroom are all recorded as rooms. Thresholds are ordered by the piece and cut to the opening, so measure the finished door width rather than the frame. Care
Seal after installation and again every one to two years. A threshold sees more grit underfoot than most surfaces, so sweeping before mopping avoids dragging particles across a polished face. Clean with a pH neutral stone product.
