A small white brick in Sivec
Marble tiles at 2 3/4 by 5 1/2 inches, honed, from the Sivec honed marble collection in the Alpina White colour. Sixty pieces fill a box and cover 6.3 square feet. Variation is recorded as uniform, which is unusual for stone. A sample can be ordered from the product page.
Design
White that stays consistent
Most marble argues with itself from one tile to the next. Sivec does not: the pieces are logged as uniform, so this reads as a plain white stone rather than a veined one, and the small format is what carries the interest instead. Honing leaves it matte, which suits a white that is meant to stay calm. At 2 3/4 by 5 1/2 the tile works as a brick lay or stacked, and the choice changes the room more than the colour does. The same stone is stocked as hexagon, herringbone and two mosaic strips, plus a 12x24 polished tile and a matching pencil liner.

Where to use it
Approved almost everywhere indoors
Shower walls and floors, bath floors and walls, backsplash, residential and commercial interior walls and floors, and residential light floors all appear, with bathroom, kitchen and living room as the rooms recorded. Marble tile backsplash work is the easiest of these, since the small format means cuts around sockets stay small too. Eleven boxes cover 60 square feet with waste allowed for. This stone is not frost resistant, so keep it inside.

Care
Seal after installation and reseal every one to two years. Use a pH neutral stone cleaner. Lemon, vinegar and wine etch marble, so wipe them off rather than leaving them.
