A picket in plain white
Morotris takes the Cloud White glaze onto a picket, a ceramic accent tile with pointed ends measuring 3 5/8 by 6 1/8. Laid in rows the points interlock, and the wall gains a rhythm that a plain rectangle cannot give it.
Design
Shape instead of pattern
Since the glaze is a single flat white with nothing printed on it, everything visual comes from the outline of the piece and the shadow at its edge. Rounded edges deepen that shadow slightly. At 3/8 inch the body matches the other ceramic tiles in this group, so a picket band can meet a field of 4x7 1/2 or 3x6 without a step at the joint.
Interlocking rows
Points nest into the row above, which sets the rhythm of the wall.
Same thickness
3/8 inch throughout the group, so mixing shapes leaves no lip.
Where to use it
Shower walls, and the setting out
Shower walls is the recorded usage, living room the noted room. Pickets ask for a setting out drawn before the first piece goes up, because the points have to land somewhere sensible at corners and edges. Pieces are small, 0.07 square feet each, though 40 come in a box for 2.8 square feet. Sixty square feet plus 15 percent waste needs 25 boxes.
Plan the edges
Decide where a cut point falls before setting, not halfway up the wall.

Small pieces mean high counts, 2.8 square feet a box.

Care
Grout lines are longer on a picket than on a square, so keeping them clean matters more. A household tile cleaner and a cloth are enough, and the glaze itself never needs sealing.
