Theodora in European Grey
The same Theodora design cut from European Grey, a marble mosaic sheet at 12 1/8 by 14 with more than one finish across its pieces. Colour is recorded as blue within that grey group, which is closer to a cast than a hue.
Design
Grey with a cool cast
Stone described as blue in a grey family usually means the cool end of grey rather than anything obviously coloured, and that is what turns up here. As multicolor marble mosaics go the variation between pieces is slight, so the cast holds steady rather than swinging. Mixed finishes give the sheet a second layer of interest that only shows as light moves across it. Sheets are 3/8 inch and cover 1.17 square feet each. Sheets also need their joins planned, because a repeating design that steps at a seam draws the eye straight to it.
Cool rather than coloured
The blue reading is a cast in the grey, not a separate colour.
Finish does the rest
Surface treatment varies across the sheet as well as tone.
Where to use it
Showers are what this one is listed for, underfoot rather than on the wall, and the bathroom is the room named against it. Boxes hold 7.02 square feet, so ten will see off an area of 60 once offcuts are counted. Bright bathroom lighting pushes a cool stone cooler still, something worth holding in mind when choosing what sits beside it. Sheets from more than one box should be shuffled together as they go down.

Care
Seal after installation and again every one to two years, more carefully in a shower. Acidic cleaners etch marble, so routine cleaning means a pH neutral stone product.
