Which Finish is the best for limestone tiles?

Honed is the best finish since it is the most natural form of limestone tile. Honed limestone floor tiles are preferred by homeowners and builders mostly for shopping mall floorings, cafe, or restaurant floorings which has high foot traffic. Multiple size patterns are known under many names such as Versaille pattern, or French Pattern show this product the best.  Multiple sizes such as. 8x8, 8x16, 16x16, and 16x24 are the most common sizes.

French limestone is considered the most interesting variety. It comes from the Dijon area of Burgundy. Quarries, sprinkled among French Vineyards make an interesting Terroir.

Other limestones such as the one from Indiana or Portugal make interesting varieties.  Portuguese limestones such as Mocha Creme, or Moleanos are some of the best sellers.  Blue-gray limestone from Azul Valverde or  Azul Lagos is some of the most beautiful natural stones in the World.

One of the reasons this particular stone is so popular is that it is easy to maintain and clean.  This stone looks natural under any use and it wears extremely well with use. In fact the more it is used the better it looks.

It is also very popular as an exterior cladding material. Many buildings in Italy and France use this as an exterior cladding stone in thicker materials.  It can literally give the look of an ancient French castle.

This stone is easy to clean and maintain. We recommend using a grout release before grouting.  IT should also be sealed periodically like any other natural stone flooring material.
